The following applies to all allotment owners and their guests:

Lawn mowing times from May 1st to October 15th

3 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Saturday

7 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Please do not engage in noisy activities on Sundays and public holidays. Thank you for your consideration!

  • The water fee has been increased to €0.18/m2 of allotment area. We ask all gardening enthusiasts to report leaks immediately.
  • We ask all garden enthusiasts with pools, but also ponds that are refilled over the course of the season, to bring this to the attention of the board.
  • Hedges may not be higher than 120 cm. Hedge pruning must be carried out by February 28th. According to the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG § 39 Abs. 5), you are not allowed to trim your hedge from March to September 30th in order to protect the welfare of local animals. However, smaller mainenance trims are permitted in summer, taking place at the earliest in the end of June.
  • The city of Kiel generally prohibits the burning of garden waste.

"ABK Kiel's green waste collection has started again since March 17th. Until June 07th, citizens have the opportunity to hand in a maximum of one cubic meter of green waste free of charge every Saturday at the collection points. Colleagues in Kiel districts collect it regularly in spring and autumn.

However, not everything that comes from the garden is accepted: tree stumps and thick wood with a diameter of more than 20 centimeters are excluded. The garden waste given to us is processed into soil products in a composting plant so that it can later be used again in the garden. In this way, all participants make an important contribution to the waste cycle."

  • Leased gardens cannot be sold independently. Notice of termination of the allotment is to be given to the board.

The entire board wishes you and your family a wonderful summer time in your gardens this year.
